A Climate For Change

Because climate change is seriously uncool.

What a great turn out we had at the Brisbane Walk Against Warming. I wanted to share some of the photos that Matthew Taylor and I shot at the event.

Thank you to all those involved in the organisation of Brisbane's Walk Against Warming
Thrilled to see so many take part in the event. A very public demonstration of solidarity with those who are most affected by climate change RIGHT NOW.

Half a million people signed up to global campaigns run by the networks of development agencies Caritas Internationalis & CIDSE and the Countdown to Co2penhagen campaign, joining forces to demand a fair, effective and binding climate change agreement in Copenhagen.

“The Copenhagen agreement needs to set ambitious emission reduction targets, ensure financial and technological support to developing countries to adapt to climate change. The deal also needs to be binding so that countries can be held accountable,” said Lesley-Anne Knight, Secretary General of Caritas Internationalis.

Thank you Queenslanders for Standing Up and making your voices heard. Caritas Australia - Make Poverty History QLD Coalition member

Great photos Ronnie. The Brisbane Walk had a very impressive turnout with around 10, 000 and great news coverage. I was impressed to see Wanita Limpus from the Kirabati Association interviewed on every media channel. We need to watch the progress of Copenhagen and be prepared for a snap action this week. On behalf of World Vision and Make Poverty History, thanks to all the volunteers who helped out on the day!
