There is a very interesting video on TED (Technology Entertainment Design - Ideas worth spreading) that is a presentation given by Rob Hopkins, founder of Transition Towns about Peak Oil.

If you don't know much about peak oil this will provide you with the basics. It's very important to understand Peak Oil in order to combat catastrophic climate change.
