Confirms my fears about cap and trade schemes - bring on a straight carbon tax, don't let the money-bags get their hands on yet another scam scheme.

It has been BAU that has got us into this predicament, so why would we want to trust BAU to get us out of it?
(BAU - business as usual) The Ruddster and the Bull-turner are both coming from the same mindset, all that differentiates them is from where they get their campaign finances.

I'm right with you Jim. Maybe the anticipation of further economic domination via carbon trading is behind the huge money they still offer - this quote from Martin Hutchinson, contributing editor for Money Morning
