Gas-fired Power Stations in Latrobe Valley?

Gas-fired power stations may be built in Latrobe Valley Vic BUT Generators pressuring Labour for "adequate compensation" for the introduction of the Carbon Reduction Scheme, by saying they wont go gas if they don't get the compo. No doubt Labour will subsidise them all the way as they have been doing for years. When are these generators going to accept responsibility for the pollution they create. They are saying a transition period of 10 - 15 years with permits to emit CO2 and $8 billion in govt assistance is necessary to get the gas project off the ground. The gas technology can work, they need some real incentives to get it in place.
