A Climate For Change

Because climate change is seriously uncool.

Would like to Clarify couple of points on climate change.

1. I refer to climate change as exactly that. I dont care if its warming, cooling, flooding, baking, snowing, windy.. or whatever else may happen, the point is that most of the population is concerned with the atmosphere which we have bugger all control over. IF these extreme things happen we as a species will do one of two things. Adapt or Die, its really that simple!

2. I personally know that the climate is changng and the government is on the brink of a big mistake (ETS) which will mean catastrophe for the nation. (Never mind toothpaste Jeff there wont be anything to brush from your teeth) Im more concerned that we are wasting media time and parliment time worrying about the gases in the atmosphere when there are children being abused, civil wars erupting, disease outbreaks, food and water crisis all happening at once and the top people in the world are looking at the sky saying "bloody CO2, we had better change our light bulbs and plant some trees"
My comment Because without us there won't be a future generation to inherit the Earth...." is a take on the usual climate change agenda that we must do these things to preserve the environment for future generations". As it stands we will probly starve to death long before the sky falls on our heads.

Feel free to comment.

Disease outbreaks, food and water crisis are escalating because of climate change. Climate Change is POLLUTION of our planet - it effects not only the air, but the water and the earth. If we can control/limit our pollution then we may have time to regenerate the earth's soil and air and water, so that we can feed the world. I agree, the ETS may not be the way, POLLUTER PAYS would be better, but it would put them out of business and they'll resist that, so ETS is raising awareness, and as the powers that be, change very slowly, pressure on them to change their ways has gotta be good, eh? We could be all dead - but them again we could move forward, and have an eco-renaissance, and restore this earth, and share its productivity, and feed the poor. When it comes down to it, the climate change debate is making strong links between poverty, power and how we produce food. There's an old saying "Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime", however if the river is dead, there aint no fish. Environment is the bottom line.
