A few of us wanted to put together a fun way to talk about carbon tax - we hope you liked the end result. How we put it together...We began planning the video only two days before the price on pollution was announced after a huge event where over 100 young volunteers from all over Australia, who…See More

Carbon price will help Australia catch up with international action

The Government’s proposed carbon price legislation, announced yesterday, is a good start to help Australia to catch up to international action on climate change. Australia is currently falling behind international action and is not contributing its fair share to global efforts to address climate changeOxfam research released last month revealed that developing countries are making more of an effort to cut their greenhouse gas…See More

My name is Latin Ndrihin and Im the climate change activist and mangrove advocator in Papua New Guinea and will be conducting the climate change foot walk fund drive in Australia by walking from Cairns to Canberra in October 2011. The idea is to raise funds for planting 500,000 mangroves for 500 communities in the Pacific Region in 5 years and walk for 5000 km and count every footsteps. I would be very much interested for Oxfam Australia to support me in promotions and awareness through it's networking partners and also if some volunteers could team up with me for the first ever historical climate change foot walk fund drive, A Dollar for a Footstep makes a Difference.I would be more than happy if any interested volunteers should contact me and join this walk drive, I m prefer to donate 50% of the funds raise to Oxfam Australia for it's program in climate change, Over to you and wait for your response.
