Thanks Sue. I've got the citation from the site in the final copy that I just edited in. Decreasing concessions doesn't make much sense, I agree, but decreasing concession prices does. I'll follow up on your suggestions. Fantastic stuff for using th…

Very moving stuff. I am 17 too. What we have seen in Copenhagen is a failure of political leadership. But while leaders have failed to make history, people around the world did. In thousands of vigils, rallies and protests, hundreds of thousands of…

Don't give up Phil! Never stop believing that we won't get solid ground covered. We have one day left, but like you said, heads of state can change their mind. We just have to keep putting pressure on them. I dread what will happen if we don't get a…

There's hope. The only outcome that is truly successful at Copenhagen will be a legally binding framework based around the target of 350 ppm, with $150 billion dollars given to adaptation funds, a reduction of forest destruction by at least 75%. I h…

How can the Australian government base its whole policy on a carbon emissions limit of 450 ppm? Don't they know that this is morally and ethically irresponsible to all people, all generations and all species? Don't they know that this is unacceptabl…

Climate change is a mind-bendingly complex issue. How can we talk about it in a way that most people will understand, and be inspired to take action?

This is fantasmagorical Phil! Like you suggest, we really need to be putting tonnes of pressure on him to actually come to Copenhagen with specific targets. If K-dog does do all the things you mention in the "I look forward tos" then I don't think I…

Blue Mountains City Youth Council Statement 2010

At Youth Council, we are passionate about preserving and improving the world, country and community. Cayley Bawden reflected the sentiments of Youth Councillors when she said “The Blue Mountains is certainly a beautiful place with a vibrant community and as fellow residents; it is our responsibility to look after it.” Perhaps the most pressing issue facing the Blue Mountains is climate change, which will inevitably affect our food, water and energy resources. To minimise the damage caused by cli… Continue
