A little about me...

Hi, I’m Cara.
I work for Oxfam as a campaigner, and I love it! I get to work with a bunch of truly inspirational people, and every day presents new challenges and opportunities (read: never a moment to check facebook).
At the moment, one of the projects I am working on is the UN climate change e-monitors initiative - I attended the last UN climate chage negotiations in June in Bonn, Germany. Phew! What an experience - you can check out my blogs here and Join the the UN climate change e-monitors group to stay up to date with the latest on the international climate change negotiations.
When I’m not at work you can usually find me surfside with my body board or a good book (though I’m yet to combine the two).
Another favourite activity of mine is browsing op shops, where I can combine two of my passions, garish 80s fashion and caring for our planet in every little way that I can.

Tuvalu plight must be heard by UNFCC

This article was originally published on ABC's The Drum.

By Reverand Tafue Lusama, General Secretary of the Tuvalu Christian church and community leader, Tuvalu.

When I was a young boy, growing up on the island of Funafuti, Tuvalu, my father would take me out fishing.

We would stay close to shore. There would be such an abundance of marine life that in one…

Dear Cara,

I hope you're well. Please check out my Ockham's Razor from last Sunday: http://www.abc.net.au/rn/ockhamsrazor/stories/2011/3350359.htm

Here I dispel the myth of unending growth and defend women and gen Y. If you could pass it on to like-minded individuals, I'd really appreciate it.

Best wishes,

Fiona

Dear Cara,

Thanks for your previous message. I've been working my way around the site trying to figure out who the main contributors are but I'm still uncertain. I would like to contact them to build awareness on the site for the upcoming WOMAD Earth Station Festival

http://www.earthstationfestival.com.au/

I am the youngest planet talk speaker at 24 and on this point I think it's important to encourage dialogue on climate change from one generation to another. So if you could direct me to the site managers or if you have any ideas of your own please let me know.

Best wishes,

Fiona

Thanks for the welcome Cara, I am glad that their is a cite like this where everyone and multiple NGOs are supporting. I am with Oxfam Queensland and didn't know about it until I joined, though i've told all my friends and they'll tell theirs so that's just how it goes I guess.

Did you here about Swiss aid to Columbia for climate management measures? I did a blog about it on my page.
