Climate change costs lives. It makes life for people in the poorest
regions of the world unbearable. It's already hitting millions of
vulnerable people in developing countries – where drought,
flooding, hunger and disease are becoming more common than ever.
Poor people will simply get poorer unless something is done,
fast.
2009 is the year when we can put
things right. Governments will meet in Copenhagen in December
to finalise a massive climate deal. We'll be seizing every
opportunity along the way to demand
action.

methane, and nitrous oxide are higher now than at any time during
