We are a community social networking & news site focussed on
climate change. Our goal is to create a space where people from all
over Australia & the World can connect and share their
experiences of climate change.
Why join?
All around the world, the global environment is changing affecting
not only the physical surroundings, but the communities of people
within it. We cannot always see it, we don’t even always hear about
it, so how can we begin to stop it? As a member of
A Climate for
Change you have the opportunity to share your experiences and
ideas and unite with other like minded friends to call for global
change.
So how does it work?

Who is behind A Climate for Change? Plus a little
disclaimer
A Climate for Change is a community driven site developed by Oxfam
Australia. The majority of views and opinions expressed on the site
are that of our members and not Oxfam Australia. Only comments
lodged under and by the Oxfam profile on this site can be
attributed to Oxfam Australia.
Can my organisation have a profile?
Yes! – we believe climate change affects us all and that only by
working together will we find a solution. We encourage to
organisations to join us and help continue to build a safe, fun and
thoughtful community based around preventing climate change.
Why create this site?
We are all feeling the effects of climate change. Whether it’s
reduced rainfall or floods in Australia, drought in Uganda,
increasingly severe cyclones in Bangladesh, or sea level rise and
storm surges in the Pacific. The capacity for communities to
maintain livelihoods and to grow food is being hampered by climate
change. Many organisations, including Oxfam and Make Poverty
History, are increasingly concerned about the impact of climate
change on communities across developing countries. A Climate for
Change is a new resource to enable Australians to tackle climate
change together and support those in threatened communities
overseas.
